On the 29.8.2015 CITIES WITHOUT HUNGER hosted a group of tourists organized by the travel agency Culture Xplorers.
The agency offers sustainable journeys with a focus on authentic experiences of local culture and traditions. The tourists get to know the living traditions, social initiatives and especially the people in the places they visit. Culture Xplorers offers various tours through South America and is concerned about leaving a positive impact.
It was an experience different from typical tourist routes in Brazil: The seven Americans and the British journalist Alexander Robinson visited three gardens, got to know the urban farmers and enjoyed a meal made of ingredients collected directly from the garden. The group gave a donation to benefit the farmers.
The journalist and photographer Alexander Robinson is an award-winning professional and already published in magazines like National Geographic and Vanity Fair. He accompanied and documented the tour. Soon, the pictures will be published on Culture Xplorers’s website.
